Picture Day

At North Scott Community School District, we constantly strive to provide the best possible experience and value for our families. To ensure we are meeting this standard, the district routinely opens a bidding process for our school photography services every 2 to 3 years, depending on our current service agreements.

Our next official bidding process will take place in 2027.

Why do we do this?

• Evaluating Our Needs: This regular review allows a dedicated committee to carefully analyze the evolving needs of our schools, students, and families.

• Embracing New Technology: The photography industry changes quickly. Going out for bid ensures we can evaluate the latest technologies, ordering platforms, and digital features offered by different vendors.

Our goal is always to deliver high-quality portraits, seamless picture days, and modern, convenient options for you. We will keep you updated as we approach the 2027 review process!

Pre-ordering is completely optional: You are welcome to order packages before picture day, but it is not required.

Order everything at once: To streamline your order, please purchase all of your students' picture packages at the same time (unless you plan to wait for a scheduled retake day).

No rush to buy: If you aren't ready to order right away, don't worry! Picture packages remain available in the portal all year long (and beyond), giving you plenty of time to make your selections.

Seeing my student's proofs: Please allow 7-10 business days for processing, before expecting an email with your student's picture proof.

Have multiple students? We recommend waiting: For easier shipping and to preview all images together, we highly recommend waiting until all of your students have had their pictures taken and their proofs are available in the Geskus portal.

Student pictures will be identified and put into yearbook automatically. More information for Junior High and Elementary school yearbook sales will be provided later.  

For High School:

Senior pictures for yearbook to be submitted to the Yearbook Staff by November 18th. For questions contact Michele Mess.  

High School Yearbook Purchases in Infinite Campus by Decebmer 1st.  

On Picture Day, every student receives a personalized card containing a unique access code. You will need this code to view and order your photos online.

• If your student kept their card: Visit gpi.portraitpics.co and enter the access code on the card.

• If you ordered last year: Log in to your existing account at gpi.portraitpics.co. Your student’s new pictures should automatically link to your profile.

• If the card was lost or thrown away: Don’t worry! You can retrieve your student’s access code by contacting your school’s main office secretary.
