Welcome to the 2025–26 School Year

As summer winds down, the anticipation of a new school year begins to build. I know our students, families, and staff are eager to return to school routines, connect with one another, and embrace the opportunities ahead. Like many of you, I’m not quite sure where the summer went—but I’m excited to begin another year in a community that truly values education. Serving as superintendent of the North Scott Community School District continues to be a tremendous privilege.

This year marks a major milestone for our district—we have officially completed all of our Vision 2025 projects! From updated facilities like Alan Shepard and Neil Armstrong to the completion of the Regional Innovation Center, Lancer Stadium, and new wrestling and welding spaces, our district has undergone transformational improvements. Solar panels have now been installed across a majority of our buildings, helping us reduce long-term costs and reinvest in learning. Thank you to everyone who played a part in turning this vision into reality.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to launch our new strategic plan this fall. This plan is the result of months of collaboration and input from staff, families, students, and community members. It focuses on four key areas: student success, staff support, school safety, and community partnerships. Together, we’ll use this roadmap to guide our decisions and ensure we continue to grow stronger as a district.

As always, thank you for your continued support, passion, and commitment to our students. North Scott is a remarkable place to learn and grow—and that’s because of each of you.
