Character Strong

We're incredibly excited to share some wonderful news about how we're strengthening support for every student in our district! As of 2025-2026 school year all North Scott schools launched CharacterStrong, a fantastic program that is a key part of our guidance services.

CharacterStrong is an evidence-based program designed to help our students, from elementary through high school, develop crucial character skills. Think of it as teaching them the "how-to" of being a great person: how to manage feelings, build healthy friendships, make responsible choices, and grow into compassionate, confident individuals. This program will seamlessly integrate into their school day, creating an even more positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment for everyone. We truly believe CharacterStrong will give your children valuable tools to thrive not just in school, but in life.

• Easy Ways to Connect at Home: We know you want to support your child's growth! That's why we're thrilled to introduce monthly caregiver newsletters. These will be automatically emailed to your household, introducing the specific age-appropriate character topic your child's grade level is focusing on that month. You'll get conversation starters and simple ideas to reinforce these valuable lessons at home, making it easy to be part of their learning journey.
